Using Smoothwall for standalone wireless management

    Hello

Our school is looking into Buying IPads and I need to look at extending our wifi coverage by adding more standalone linksys wap54g's (or similar) to our network (If we are going ahead with these IPads, we wont have enough money for a wifi solution)

Could I run these of a separate VLAN / separate LAN through a port on the smoothwall for authentication, with looking more at transparent authentication for our IPADs (As they wont be apart of our AD)~?

    Thanks

You could yes - i'd be looking for a better AP though to integrate WPA enterprise auth - they don't have to be mega money I think we found some 80 cisco APs
