Dansguardian - log files? Find one user's internet history?

Hi - we use Dansguardian as our proxy, and I was hoping someone capable could walk me through the process of extracting log files for %user% from it. I've no idea how it works but in the boss' absence I'd like to look into a certain student's access history.

Can anyone hold my hand, if this is even possible?

    Thanks for any help.

    for a fairly brutal approach:
    1. Find the dansguardian log file (still called access.log? cant remember)
    2.
    Code:
    grep <username> logfile.log >/tmp/username.log
that will get you everything that user has done from that logfile into /tmp/username.log

    it will overmatch a bit

the log file is at /var/log/access.log.

Well it is on my system anyway.

Does your proxy require authentication? If not, then the log will only contain IP addresses and not usernames.

    DG: /var/log/dansguardian/
    Squid v2: /var/log/squid/access.log
    Squid v3: /var/log/squid3/access.log
