PROXY.PAC - Set different port for INDIVIDUAL computer IP/s?
We need to put a few computers on a different proxy port. We have two proxies, so everyone apart from these few IPs would go through Proxy A and the ones listed in the pac file would be on proxy B ?
I was looking at the code:
But isnt that ip in that command above an IP Range?
function FindProxyForURL(url, host)
if (isInNet(myIpAddress(), "10.10.10.0", "255.255.255.0")
return "PROXY [Proxy Address]:[Port]";
Is there a way to limit just one or several individual IPs to have a different proxt port?
Thanks in adavce

couldn't you do: if (isInNet(myIpAddress(), "10.10.10.10", "255.255.255.255")

"The isInNet(host, pattern, mask) function returns TRUE if the host IP address matches the specified pattern. The mask indicates which part of the IP address to match (255=match, 0=ignore)."
Just read up after reading your post, i didnt know that subnet is tell it which part to match

Probably myIPAddress() == "10.0.1.1" would do it - isinnet is just a shortcut to make it easier to describe networks.
Out of interest why are you doing this?

So we need 3 x different proxy ports assigned.
Would this be easier through smoothwall? would assigning port 801 even be possible through smoothwall?

Hmm, one option if you can do this by IP is just to set up a different auth method per IP address or range (web filter/auth/policies) - wouldn't solve the wonky app problem though. Which app was it?

GP gives all users the smoothwall proxy.pac.
Could 801 even be given in the auth policies?
The app is "http://tweetdeck.com/"
