Anyone else getting a problem with Google searches today?
A number of our users are reporting issues with Google searches not working correctly/throwing up an error message.

26th February 2013, 12:19 PM #2 I have had a couple of issue with Google myself. It kept on asking me to do a captcha because "there was suspicious activity from my IP". Google appears to be back to normal now. :-)

Yes, that's what we were getting.
Out of interest, are you on a Northern Grid (BT) Internet connection?

26th February 2013, 12:59 PM #5 Yes, I suspect the Google issue may be something to do with Northern Grid.
We had a small broadband outage yesterday afternoon at about 3:15pm (for about 10 minutes) and I've noticed problems since then....
The Google problem does seem to have settled down now.....

Yes, we've had it a couple of times this morning.
I cannot see anything which would be causing it on our network and it only seems to happen when there have been NGFL problems/outages.
I suspect it is something higher up on the NGFL/BT network which is triggering it.
It usually settles down after a little while.
