Teaching assesment grades to the grades the students got using the KS3 Pilot software were very close if not exact in most cases.
We also had a higher % of level 6 and level 5 students then the national average.

@Sylv3r
national average....which is what?
We got ours just after 10 had to run the download manually but everything worked well with very positive results
Once again for 3rd year in a row (I love saying that) we are above the national average by quite a bit on all accounts. All out students came in at level 4 or above.
The national average was sent in document to all named contacts but for peoples info here is details..
N 5.8
3 5.2
4 38.3
5 35
6 15.7
So national average for level 5 and above is 50% and we are on 70%.
So some very happy people here...

Hey Russ
What on earth does N 5.8 stand for and why no 7's or above?????
Simon
N stands for as in all sats test no grade aka they got below level 3.
As for level 7 & 8 again like most national sats when they start the trails they don't do levels 7/8 as concentrate on levels 3-6 and then bring in levels 7/8 further down line.
In fact first year of trailing level 7/8 was last year and this year was to be second but now the software has new focus they put level 7/8 stuff on hold.

Have you any idea what the actual non SATs TEST "National" levels might beas this will be the dench mark that depts are measured against??
If you are asking what levels will be used in new refocused software next year then at moment I think (but don't quote me on it) it will be levels 3-6.
To a point the software is now to inform teacher assignment levels and this mean how it will be used will be different in each school. What you need to do over next year is look at software and if plan to use it look at how in fits into your ict teaching program. The testing element is one part of the new software.
