Their remuneration compard to most tech support staff makes up for the "inconvenience" in my opinion.
Linked blog from the above TES forum thread.
LOL
Not really on subject but it is interesting that RM gets a hell of a slamming on this thread, yet they seem to be ahead when it comes to winning contracts under BSF. I suppose allot of the LEAs who are partly responsible for awarding contracts are going to have egg on their faces when the sh*t hits the fan. I do not think we will have to wait long for this to happen?
If I knew who m0nkeyb0y was I'd shake his hand
When the Educational commitees involve all areas of expertise instead of just ex Headteachers and ministers who turn themselves into these political teams of quangoes (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/1058349.stm) who quite frankly do not live in the real world enviroment then maybe just maybe a balanced enviroment within education would prevail.
There's a surprising lack of flame in response to that comment :DQuote:

Huh? I thought the testing was required and enforced from 'on high'?Quote:

It isn't ... the area is not just for ICT teachers ... but any member of staff that deals with, or uses, ICT in a school ... or at least that is how it used to be, but now it is ICT as a subject!!!Quote:

I see technical support more of a whole-school thing, not directly linked to ICT as a subject.
