Maybe I haven't read the documentation properly but all the old pupils from last year I have promoted to year 10 but their names are still on the logon list that appears on DPS logon screen.
What is everyone doing about this because when this years year 9 go on the system I will have all last years year9 names come up as well confusing the hell out of some people.
The only solution I have found is to delete them - but I dont want to do that as I want to keep each years results.

You have option somewhere on removing all your old year 9 think it was in the import process.
This should mean that they appear in aps (needed to get exams results etc) but dont have a year assigned to them and on dps shouldnt appear.

Ok I have worked it out:
I needed to select all pupils and set their year group to inactive. This takes them off of the DPS logon screen.
@russedev
I haven't actually imported this years year 9 yet I am hoping that they will enter the ILAs into sims and I can export it into APS. Thanks anyway as you gave me the inspiration for above solution.
