I know this is nothing to do with your problem, But have u had the new updated software for this year come through yet?
I thought that if you took part in the Pilot last year, that u was automatically approved for the tests this year.... or do i have to go through the audit once again.
thanks
@beeswax - fundamentally the error messgae means that some of the data due to be sent to QCA/RM failed to upload correctly. This could be down to many things but in my experience is often due to temporary internet access problems. Keep an eye on the messages and see if this is a consistent problem - it may just be a one-off.
Coming out at the end of term according to the last email I hadOriginally Posted by Nij.UK

had a reply from RM which runs as follows;
Log into the APS
Select Schools, Manage Internet Access
Click on the run now link.
This should remove the error.

Received e-mail notification about the upgraded software today. Oh joy.

I know it's off topic... I contacted the lovely KS3 people the other week to see what was happening as I had heard nothing. I was told that I would receive the software in March!!!
Despite being part of the thin client trial, RM have decided I am not worthy to receive the software yet :? Let's hope the extra months mean that the software might work properly this time!

I get the impression they've done nothing about thin client other than drop or discourage thin client sites from their testing. They know the thin client version doesn't work as it causes 'performance issues' and have mailed me to this effect. RM want 100% success with this trial and don't want QCA knowing about any failures, as it will make the contract look bad - they already screwed up the cross platform requirement. I think this is particularly worrying because in the end RM will just say, well it works on eg cc3 and try to sell schools this option instead. I encourage you to speak directly with QCA on this, they may give RM a kick.I know it's off topic... I contacted the lovely KS3 people the other week to see what was happening as I had heard nothing. Pants. I didn't realise there was a special thin-client version. I had intended just to run the standard on one on our TS server...

Out of interest is there the possibility of this pilot not being successful and we carry on as we are. Our school is gambling on this and we are not making any attempt to be involved despite my concerns.
From what I see from you guys all does not seem well with this software package and surely there must be a lot of schools not up to speed.
Interesting reading though, cheers
