When a pupil logs in and starts doing the pfm practice, they get to the question that asks them to create a chart in the database part. when they define all the variables, and click display chart I get an error saying "Invalid chartFX licence"
Has anyone seen this before?
When I log in as admin it works fine.
Help.
Sounds like a permissions problem.. try changing the permissions in the program folder.
Checked permissions and they are the same on a computer that is working.
I've asked RM what the problem is, they have e-mailed me a fix and told me that it is because we use mandatory profiles for the kids. I'll try the fix and let you all know what happens.
Cool. I'll wait to hear the outcom.

Just out of interest - what was in the .bat file?
We've had this problem today as well, we ran practice test for 25 kids today and all went well apart form the error you described.
Before i go through the long phone call to RM for the same fix can you tell us more about the fix and what instructions you were given
Even what is in the bat file will be good.
I had this in my inbox this morning -
"Task Ref. 1 - invalid cart fx license
1. Extract the zip file
2. Run the .bat file on the workstation (logged in as administrator)
3. Reboot workstation."
I'll follow the instructions and keep you posted - though it will depend on free periods through the day.

Can someone post the bat file please..
Here's the bat file and the exe file that was sent to me. You have to run this on every PC locally, you can't run it from a network location as I found out last night.
my head of ICT ran an anonymous test last night after I'd gone home and managed to get the create chart to run, so I've decided to wait until we can get together and see if she can replicate it on another machine. I'll get in touch with RM as well in case there's a subtle difference between the anon tests and the pupil familiarisation tests.
I ran the pupil familiarisation tests and i could create a chart fine after i had run the bat file.
I think it has something to do with .net famework, because the bat file didn't run correctly on a PC that the .net framework wasn't installed on.
had a heads up from RM just now and they say there's no difference between running the anon tests and the familiarisation tests, still couldn't explain why it didn't work on one machine but did on the one next to it (all taken from the same image).
We've had this problem as well, you mean to tell me i have to go round to 140 machines and run this bloody batch file manually?
FFS........................has anyone else had more luck with running this from the network?
