    Re: error creating a chart

    Right,

tried the batch file from RM and it made no difference. Admin and staff (who have roaming profiles ) all can create charts, kids who have mandatory profiles can not. I ran the batch file on different pc's in different room and it made no difference.

I tried to create a script to run the batch across the network and it did not work as well.

We are contemplating setting up on domain users (say QCA Test) and giving it a roaming profile. The letting the kids run the tests, they log on to QCA with their user name and password provided for test and there should not be a problem creating charts this way?

Any suugestions, ideas on this option we are considering?

    Re: error creating a chart

I don't believe this! A class of pupils sat down to attempt the 2007 Familiarisation Test this morning, and when they reached the point where they had to create a chart they got the Invalid Chart/FX Licence message. I know RM sent out a batch file to run on each machine, and also said that this issue would be addressed in later releases. The machines in question were re imaged in February half term, and of course, running the batch file never occured to me. Has anyone encountered similar problems with this year's Familiarisation Test?

Yes, we've just encountered the same thing - the company I work for supports a number of schools that are doing the KS3 stuff, so I'll keep a look out for it on the other sites. If anyone has an answer, it'll be much appreciated! (we are running mandatory roaming profiles for all users)

    Re: error creating a chart

I had this crop up on an entire room today - apparently it was doing it during the "practice" tests but no one thought to tell me! Hmmm.. so do we, as network managers have to sit the practice tests just to make sure things are working?

    /rant

Anyway... did we ever manage to get this script working off the network? Thinking of whacking it in a computer startup script

Also just what exactly is this script supposed to do? I've ran it and it just outputs 3 text files of garbage :?

    Re: error creating a chart

    We experianced this this week
The batch file worked but what amazes me is the age of this thread

WHY hasnt it been fixed? If it was known about over a year ago, why should we still have to run a batch file to cure it?

    More information please

We are experiencing the same problems now.

I have had no luck on the softwareFX forum nor the ActiveReports help.

That zip file on page one does not download, anybody have this magical batch file still? Also wondering what is in this batch file exactly as I suspect it's got to do with granting permissions.

    anyone?
