I am looking for a "free" asset tracking/management software, database, ASP web database, at least somehting networkable/sharable. so that we can manage our assets.
What do you use?, any ideas?

Do a search on the forums for helpdesk software and asset management - there are dozens of threads on the same thing.
Sitehelpdesk here but it's not free.
For asset tracking we simply use an access database.

we got one of our 6th formers to design us one as his a level project, i am very impressed with as it is bespoke
we use www.servicedeskplus.com there is a free part of it aswell :)
Does anyone use any program for maintaining there equpiment which doesnt need to be installed on a network and if so what do you use. I was thinking of making up a access doument or something, but if there are any ideas please let me know I am hoping to have this running on a stand alone laptop.
