multi AP wireless system
Hi
We have a pretty large building that will need about 8-10 wireless AP's to give coverage everywhere.
All the laptops will be running through SBS2011.
How do we set this up so that we don't have to chage the settings in every single AP each time we need to make a change.
Can you give me some examples of suitable equipment.
Thanks

Am i right in thinking that you do not have a Managed Wireless System? you just have singlular Access Points?
I am not 100% but i read previously that if you give each AP the same SSID & PassPhrase it should work fine.

I would recommend Ruckus Wireless for several reasons- primarily the coverage per AP and the ability to handle very high client densities per AP would allow for a lot less than 8 AP's. Secondly the centralised management, coupled with its self healing setup, would simplify management considerably as well as allowing features such as restricted guest access etc.
Thanks,
Mark

Look at Xirrus....ask for a site survey..it may work well for you.....ruckus is a good option too...i would evaluate both....

It really depends how often you need/want to change security information on your APs. Many APs these days do support multiple SSIDs, so you can have different wireless networks broadcasting from the same physical AP.
