I had another idea that I think would be nice. Weekly reports that are emailed. Would be nice to have it automatically email a list of low and critical consumables to our purchasing department or to me.
Thanks dcorwin822, that sounds like a useful feature as well. Added to the list :)
Installed today, looks great and works well.
One suggestion I do have, we have quite a long list of printers so when installing a toner, we have to scroll back to the top after clicking on a printer lower in the list so would it be possible to either automatically jump back to the top of the page or have the available toners appear next to the printer you have selected.
Is there a complete dummies guide to get this working on our internal network?
* I have created the following path:
and extracted the content of the .zip file downloaded.
* C:\inetpub\wwwroot\printmaster already has the Session folder created and readonly access removed
Now i need to import the .sql content but doing this in SQL2012 gives errors.
@eskIT Sorry but you can't use it as it stands and stick in a different sql server i.e MSSQL instead of MySQL.
I currently use XAMPP. Had it up and running in under 10 mins from downloads to adding inventory. XAMPP allows for portability as well, I'm currently running it off of my desktop as i'm the only one managing our printing supplies.
I created a simple XAMPP lite install, with the database stuff done to get PrintMaster to work. You can download it here. Download, extract, run "setup_xampp.bat", run xampp-control.exe, start mysql and apache, and login to 127.0.0.1/printmaster-master/
I did not set up any type of security or passwords. You will want to investigate those settings/options asap.
