Problem Logging
Hi,
I am an ICT Technician who serves a number of local Primary Schools on a rota-basis. I was wondering whether you guys keep a log of all the problems/faults that you have solved in your school/s. Do you keep a paper copy, or do you record your work in a log using a piece of software or a database?
I have searched the internet for an Access template that I could easily store all my problem logs in (School, Date, Problem Type, Problem Description, Priority, Status, Date Completed, Action Taken/Comments) but I have yet to find anything suitable. Does anyone know of anything out there that would be suffice for my needs?

opsoftware.net - offer a hosted solution, very cheap for schools, you could split the cost across schools, then it's all web based and they can log calls for you so you get a heads up, not just recording what you've done, but what you have to do next. plus it's FITS compliant so good practise

I use the helpdesk section of Spiceworks.

Thanks for the quick responses so far, I will take a look at them all and try them out. If anyone else has any other methods please let me know.

OP software's MyLittleHelpdesk (which is now called something else).
I think they offer a hosted version, which might well be easier to scale across sites.
EDIT: Now with boss linkage and added fibre.

It would seam it's now called OPSmartdesk.
