Notebook Sync desktop folders issue

We have a new domain set uo on a Windows 2008 server. One teacher tells me that he is having problems since this was set up with the set up of his notebook - he has shortcuts to folders which actually live on the domain set up on his desktop and can't understand why he can't access them when he has his notetbook at home. What's the best way to set his folders up so that he is able to work with them at work and at home - it's a history / photography teacher.

Offline files? That's how we work it (2003 domain though).

This can be done via Offline Files. You will need to make sure that it isnt disabled in Group Policy. If it isn't all the teacher needs to do it right click and then select 'Make available offline'

Thanks for the replies chaps - that Sync Toy looks like it might be the way to go in this case. The teacher tells me that on the old domain win 2003 syncronisation was happening properly and his desktop had the identical folders home and away.

Sounds like the 2003 Domain had Syncronisation setup with Offline files then.
