Software to watch video
Looking for some software to watch video on my PC.
I have a freeview box going via scart to a dazzle box (works perfectly with vcr) with then goes to pc via USB2.0
I can watch it through Studio (which came with Dazzle box) but it's only tiny in the top corner.
I dont want to record, just stream it along to my PC.
I found something called DScaler where you can select external inputs to watch in full screen - but I can't get it working (works with webcam, just crashes whenever I select Dazzle).
Can anyone recommend any other free software?
VLC (sometimes called Videolan) can play streams.
works amazingly for most things.
I've used it to stream a dvd disc from one machines drive to a load of others before.
I think VLC should do it.
ok, I recently got this hardware/software solution to transfer Videos to the PC in order to make DVDs, Hauppauge Computer Works
I got USB WinTV USB Live so you could get something from there, but they are not free of course,. but not expensive.
I've tried VLC guys - not having any luck
Pretty sure that I've used The KM Player with a video in device with good results (it's free, so it won't hurt to try it!
Another vote for VLC i don’t think i have ever had something it doesn't play
Cheers guys - will give them a try when I can and let you know.
@FN - What do you mean a vote for VLC? I'm not asking if it's any good - I'm asking for something that works. Yes, I know VLC has it's good points but I've said it's not working so it's no good :p
sorry i missed your post :o
Have you tried Media Player Classic?
I haven't actually - can that handle various input sources?
