Apologies if this is in the wrong place.
We want to set up an IT Department wiki and our ICT CO-Ordinator wants the kids to be able to upload pictures to a page without giving them access to edit the page.
Is this possible, is anyone currently doing this and can recommend a product, we have tried with PBWiki but it doesn't seem to be able to do what we want.
We don't mind paying for a solution, for example PBWiki is £60/year (approx).
Any help is greatly appreciated.
We use Wiki - Free Website - Wetpaint for our ICT wiki. It's free but I'm not sure how someone could upload a picture to it withouit being able to edit it!
This isn't really how a wiki works!

Can your VLE not support a wiki? As an example, I am going to be using the wiki function of sharepoint...
No VLE here yet, not even loomimg over the horizon
for pictures, gallery2 Gallery | Your photos on your website
we have a mediawiki installation where techs post fixes.
MediaWiki - MediaWiki
moodle does all this too, but more from a teachers perspective:
Moodle - A Free, Open Source Course Management System for Online Learning
another option is to setup joomla/drupal so every student has an eportfolio/website
We have a copy of MediaWiki running that authenticates against an LDAP server, so pupils can use the same logins for Windows/Moodle/Wiki.
