How do you issue yours...
We have issued our own certificate for our exchange server for webaccess, however in IE7 it informs you that it may not be safe and basically adds another step into getting onto the site,
At the embc migration meeting i mentioned this, and was told synetrix should be able to supply us with a trusted SSL certificate, has anybody done this?

You could try here StartCom Free SSL Certification Authority I wanted to do this at my place but we go through the LEA and they don't or won't bother to implement it.
You need to buy a certificate that is 'trusted' via a company such as thwate or verisign if you have money to burn, or somewhere else for a bit cheaper. If your school or LEA has an agreement with synetrix then ask them for one.Quote:

(on the dns thing, we have a .org doman hosted by a third party, who's A record is forwarded to another company who do our website, we have a few sub domains that that we deal with ourselves (host and ssl) and OWA on a sub domain of our .org that forwards to our internal Exchange server that is actualy on a .sch domain (also with an external IP address). Still with me?
I need a certificate that will stop the 'This site is not trusted' messages but can't get my head around what I actual need to put in the certificate setup page. Any help welcome).
Wildcard certs are not free, but single server certs are free for 'education'.Quote:
