Can I add a watermark to each students print?
Currently using seperator pages so students can identify their work (not my idea, the wisdom of SMT).
Ultimately, it's a mahoosive waste of ink and paper. It all just gets chucked. So for every print, there is a redundant page - not good.
Can I set a watermark/header/footer of the students name to each and every print? Or does anyone know how I can print the seperator page on the reverse via duplex?
Thanks in advance...
Ben

Dunno but maybe it's possible to do something like.
Print document to pdf driver which watermarks print.
Print pdf document to originally selected printer.

not sure if this is a viable option but maybe a macro that is apart of the template that inserts there username on opening an office application or on creation of a new document.

Trouble is that it only works with office not everything.

A while back, I got it to print the computer name as a watermark. That made it fairly easy to reunite kids with their printout. I took it off because it caused some problems but I can't remember why?

It *sounds* like a good idea in order to reduce "Teacher X is a %%%%" type printouts as well :)

Maybe check under printer properties->printing defaults->Job Options
or similar?
On our printers (OKI) we have watermarking options under the printer setup with a special "watermark" tab

Do you use any printer restrictions? It may not be quite what your after, but would it not be more usefull to use printer restrictions and educate them about printer useage? We use Print Manager Plus here and it has solved a lot of printer issues we had with wasted prints from pupils (and staff).
I have also set it so it cancells jobs which have the document1 etc name so it forces them to save work with an appropriate name (I'm sure I got the idea from someone on here). OK to start with it was a problem setting the quotas up, but now staff and pupils are more responsible for when and what they print. It is only at times of course work deadlines that people need extra credit and I simply increase the year group for that day/week.
If users where educated to print appropriately would that not solve the issue of having to use seperator pages to identify each individuals print outs?
