I use the Offline NT/2000/XP/Vista/7 Password Changer which is part of the Hiren's BootCD.
If I have any trouble, I turn to the locksmith tool which is part of DART
Beat the users over the head with a rusty floppy drive to remember the password.....
Is Hirens Boot CD free?
Or the other tool you mentioned?
Matt
Hirens is free
DART comes as part of the MDOP (through Systems Assurance on VL, and possibly through TechNet).
I've always had good luck with active password changer, used to come with hirens but not sure if its still on there anymore..
Hirens is free, but you may have to download it at home as it used to be a warez disk and so many filters won't let it through.
DaRT is also free. IIRC you're supposed to create your own disk though I'm pretty sure that you can find pre-compiled ones available if you want to risk it.
I'll download Hirens when I get home, thanks guys!
Just used Hirens... Very impressed. Does so much more than password changes! Ill be keeping this one!
