Network-connected electricity meter

Does anyone know of some electricity meter or similar that can be connected to a network for reading data remotely? We are installing some kit in a remote location to which we won't have frequent access, and need to pay for electricity that we use in this location. As the kit we are installing is connected to our network, I thought it would be easy to read a meter of some kind over the network. Either something like this just doesn't exist, or I can't find the right search terms...! Any advice appreciated!
