    @synaesthesia have you tried kodu with hyperv and remotefx, just wondering if I can pull it off in Multipoint 2012.

    If it does work like that with vdi diffe'd drives and memory dedupe it should be easy enough to do with a properly speced server or with individual stations with Windows 8 and hyperv.

    No, we don't hyperV here, and don't have the server grunt to try it (hence the local virtualbox sessions). Can't see why that wouldn't work though.

    You could easily batch script the copy

    copy csimage.VDI \\cs01\c$\VM
    copy csimage.VDI \\cs02\c$\VM
    ect..

    I'm sure we do that, copy the image with vm in it then Push a package with the settings/shortcut. Will ask the guy that did it.

    We use a Robocopy script to send out our updated VM images to workstations... but then again we do deploy packages out using WPKG, so we just increase the package version number and then on next boot up the workstation triggers the script and away it goes.

    Hi, its pretty much what boredguy does - we have the virtual box image and settings that are sent via robo copy, then the app and a bat file are sent s a package - we use prism deploy - then a short cut for users is s pointed at the bat file, the bat file runs virtual box with a bunch of restraints to lock it down - we nicked the bat file settings of an edu geek thread apparently.

    Trying to run virtualbox on one of our teacher machines I get a sophos error. Does anyone know why or come across this before?

    We'll be using App Controller for this next year, after testing it works superbly. Posted briefly about it the other day - http://www.edugeek.net/forums/behind...ml#post1201860

    @fiza

    Do you mean Sophos on your image or on your host?

    We don't have av on the image, what's the actual path In the screen shot there... It looks a bit odd to me?

    @Jasbo
    AV is on the host. No AV in the guest as it's not connected to the network and has immutable disks. I have added all the virtual box exe files as exceptions and exclusions in sophos. Still same result. Will be in installing sophos tomorrow to see if it works then.
