    vmware testing setup

I've now got vmware server installed nicely on my ubuntu 7.04 server with a 2003 dc and a couple of xp clients.

I've set them up as using host only networking so that the dc acts as the dhcp and dns server for the virtual domain but obvsiouly cannot access the outside to connect to the net for updates etc..

I also don't appear to be able to drag and drop from the vmware console on to any of my virtual machines.

Anyone do it differently using the nat option?

    Ben

Me... I want "updates etc.".. the Windows DC still provides DHCP & DNS (NAT gateway address works as a DNS forwarder).
