9th February 2012, 05:30 PM #1 MLS Eclipse.Net - do you use the Hosted Service?
Just a Quick question regarding Eclipse.net the hosted offereing - how do people find it? We currently use the Self hosted solution and are looking to move to the hosted version so we can utilise the offering's of the mobile apps etc. Apart from the Small increase the yearly fee what do people who use the solution hosted have to say?
is it reliable being the obvious question?
Thanks
Toby

Yeah we host internally but to be able to use the mobile apps we need to host externally, Once the costs for power/licensing etc are added to the eclipse costs the extra it costs isn't that much.

27th February 2012, 03:31 PM #5 Currently found out that if we want AD integration and the librarian needing access to the management tools, there are a couple of msi packages that need installing on network. I'm just waiting on the tech specs for these extra services and the security implications.

I spoke with them regarding this. Basically its an App which when you open the MLS site passes NTLM auth securely (HTTPS i think) through to the MLS Hosted site.
The Specs for the Hardware wasn't anything special IE7 +
