    Batch Rename Images

    Could anybody recommend a tool to rename multiple images at once? I have a disc full of student images currently named <admission number>.jpg but I would need to rename this to <UPN number>.jpg.

    I've been racking my brains to find a way of renaming from one to the other but im struggling. I'm sure it would be simple enough to run a SIMS report and then create an excel formula to find and replace somehow but to then rename the image is where I would fall down.

    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Put both the UPN and admission number into excel and then use the CONCATENAT function to built the correct command in the third column. Copy and paste the third column into notepad and save it as a batch file.

    Ren - Rename

    EDIT: Should look something like this;
