    Network design tool

I don't quite know where to put this, so I'll ask here.

Some of our A Level students are doing a computer and networking course, and require network design software, preferably free. We have already tried a few, so I'll explain about those:

Network Notepad: Generally very good, however it has started becoming very unstable, with "An unexpected error; Quitting" message. It works sometimes, and not others. We have tried the latest version, but still the same problems.
Libre Office Draw: Can't figure out how to draw networks
    Dia: Extremely confusing

    Anyone got any advice?

Visio if you have an M$ Agreement that includes it?

visio would be my choice as a lot of manufacturers have libraries of their gear for inclusion in autocad and visio

That looks excellent, however we'd need the programme to be on the physical machine so they can save their data to their home folders.

File -> Export as PNG (or SVG if you are that way inclined)
