Converting Multiple page Tiff to PDF

I've got a member of staff who has a multiple page tiff document which they want in PDF. I have tried converting it using IrfanView but when I run the convertor it produces the error that it cant save the new file. Any ideas why, or alternatively any ideas of any other(free) software I can use to convert it? I am running ver 4.3 btw.

    imagemagick

    Code:
     convert file.tiff file.pdf

Could just use a PDF printer. You know the type where you download and install the program and it gives you a virtual printer that saves your documents in PDF format.

I ended up doing this...although I've noticed a few of the pages are at 90 from the origninal doc so I hope they dont want each page rotated!!

I also downloaded imagemagick but it crashed on the first run

If you have access to a Mac, you could try SIPS (it comes with OS X as standard from 10.4 onwards). e.g.

    Code:
    sips -s format pdf ~/Desktop/Source/*.tif --out ~/Desktop/Destination

I used this to convert literally several million multipage TIFF files to PDF (they originally started in some obscure Canon format)

Informatik Inc. - Universal utility for multi-page graphics conversions. Batch processing.

There are plenty of useful image programs, but ImageMagick is what I preferred for converting tiff to pdf. Certainly, it should depend on what job you're doing."
