    Preventing Electronic Document Theft

We are looking for document security software - Can anyone help?

This would control access of an electronic document both inside and outside of our school, so we can securely distribute and manage specific digital content no matter where it resides. In essence if they take it offsite it becomes unreadable unless you are a key holder.

I know we can lock access using NTFS perms and passwords and we can use AUP, but in this scenario a closed group of users accessing the information could need to use it on a daily basis for work, but not be authorised or have reason to take it offsite or print it for example.

I have seen a few products via google search, but wanted other schools experiences if possible

    Many thanks

    Ben
