Start Menu - Redirected Programs
I am setting up a new s008r2/7 network.
One of my final tasks is to get All Programs to show ONLY the folder structure applied in \\server\share\start_Menu
I cannot find a page where it describes what the required folder structure is for the share, or what setting to enable/disable to hide all the windows generated programs while stillalowing you to display the configured programs.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks

21st July 2011, 09:31 PM #2 Yes - I am actually on with this at the moment,
In GP there is a setting and it's something like "Show common program groups on start-menu" or something along those lines I'm not in front of my server so can't see for definite - you disable that option and it will remove everything you wouldn't want to see on any locked down accounts - then re-direct your menu to the structure you have created.

Do you know if there is a defined folder structure, or a folder name you NEED to use?
i.e. Do I need to put the folders/shotcuts in a folder called "Programs"?
Cheers

23rd July 2011, 11:44 AM #4 Not that I recall, I just make any old structure just by making new folders, aslong as the programs appear it'll work
I have things like
Applications >
Accessories >
Free Time >
Multimedia >
Company Applications > - Office 2010 >
etc etc
