SharePoint 2010 backup issues
Hi,
I am performing a SharePoint 2010 backup, when I start the backup it shows;
Estimated disk space required: 92.39 GB.
The backup begins and goes through each item and it displays in process the maximum the backup has ever been is 15.8GB. The backup just stalls there over days and each backup items says in process. I have logged on as Administrator, the Farm Administrators..
I cannot see anything in the log to suggest why the backup is not incrementing.

I have got to the SQL server 2008 but there are quite a lot of databases to backup.

26th May 2011, 09:10 AM #4 I use backupexec or hyper-v to back it up as the manual sharepoint 2010 backup process also stalls for me and just says "running" all the time.
SP1 has a big update of this feature so I suggest you wait for that.
Oh and I wrote a blog post on reducing the size of a sharepoint setup here, its very useful as my backups were getting silly sizes.
