live@edu autofill @domain.com in log in?

Does anyone know if it's possible to have the login in live@edu so the user only has to put their bit before the @ sign in the login box?

Not very eloquently put but I'm sure you know what I mean?

    Thanks

They are moving from the current urls to ones which include your domain so I would hope that once that is done you wouldn't have to put in the full email.
