Virtual PC and XP pro images

If you creat a an XP PC virtual machine and then join it to the domain, then instead of doing it again just copy the files to create a new one.

Well i know you need to rename it but would you need to re-assign a new SID?

Can this be done just by removing it from the domain and putting it back in?

There is also NewSIS which is quite handy when cloning virtual images.

NewSID is quicker than sysprep and will work fine. It also gives you the otion to rename the computer at the same time.

What about if you took a copy of the XP machine before yuo joined the domain? Would it still need syspreping?
