Silly question, but instead of blocking the actual signal, is there anything that can be done with a MDM to instruct connected phones to turn off the 2/3/4G antennae and force them into a WiFi only mode until they disconnect from your network?

[QUOTE=brad82;768168 My school just implements a 1 week confiscation policy. If a teacher sees a student texting during a lesson the phone is confiscated for a week with no questions. [/QUOTE]

How many get confiscated in a given week? Do you have any idea about the legality of confiscating something like that for a week? (genuine interest, btw)

How is this enforceable in any way, shape or form!? Students with younger siblings that they need to pick up, contact with parents to let them know they are home etc etc etc. Keeping for a week is unenforceable in any way!! I am surprised that local media haven't had a field day with parents complaining etc!
