Request: Creating a MSI to deploy Java Config

    Hello All,

A cheeky request would someone be able to create an MSI for me to deploy the files contained with the attachment to C:\Windows\Sun\Java\Deployment

I'm trying to avoid using bat files.
I've tried myself but cannot get it to work.

    Thanks

    Michael

I have attached an MST which deploys your configuration files if you want to give it a try? If you have any problems just let me know.

    Thanks Arthur,

I thought that you could only deploy an MST with an MSI though. Or do I just deploy the same way as an MSI?

    Thanks,

    Michael

That is correct. I normally deploy the config files along with the Java MSI so that everything is kept together. When Java gets uninstalled, the deployment.config and deployment.properties files also get removed at the same time.

I should be able to create an MSI for you though.

MSI attached. The config files are stored outside of the MSI so that you can easily edit them in the future. Hope this was okay?
