Please give me your estimates of how much technician time you would allocate to support 6 primary schools with a spread of 270 computers.
I normally work on a 8 pc's to 1 hour per week which works out at about 34 hours per week - on that basis it's almost a full time post.
Comments?
Thanks.

21st January 2011, 01:12 PM #2 I would say that you would need about 5 hours per school per week, at least.

21st January 2011, 01:21 PM #3 From my own experience it rather depends upon what state the schools ICT systems are in at the moment. If they are all up to date and up and running then I'd agree with witch but if they were anything like my 4 when I started then it would be full time till things are settled and running with just general jobs to preform and single problems/installs.

21st January 2011, 01:22 PM #4 Our shared tech does 5 schools, and that is at 1/2 per week to each school. He should be with us 2 1/2 days, but with the increased technology in primary schools he seems to be getting dragged longer and harder - poor soul

24th January 2011, 04:17 PM #7 yes 20 hours per week - but we are getting complaints
was just trying to figure out if that was incompetency or a lack of time being the predominant factor....
