I'm working on a Medion notebook running Win XP Home SP2. Decent 3.2GB processor 512MB RAM. It's been working just fine and dandy till recently when it developed a hang problem. Working away on say three different applications then it just freezes. Task manager won't come up and Ctrl, Alt, Del eventually brings a series of messages of failed services, it's able then to send error reports to Microsoft and eventually closes down. No abnormal reports in the Event Manager and no apparent abnormalities in the Device Manager?

That's a good point - I don't know what the temperature was but the fan has been in high rev mode every time this has happened.
