Works really well on calendars.
i would like a SharePoint Calendar where when you clickon the event within the calendar it links to a SharePoint page. Currently it opens a another window with the details of the event then i click on it from there. I have found several solution where when you hover over the event you get a box where you can select the evetn but i have not found a free version.
Can you do it within the out of the box Sharepoint 2010?
How would you apply this to a calendar?
Download the following files:
Upload them to a Doc Library
Add a "Content Editor Web Part" to your calendar.aspx page. Edit the Web Part and click on the Source Editor... button.
Paste the following code in the text box, you will have to change the src urls and columns names.
hideIdColumn = true;
arrOfFieldsToShow = ['Location','EventDate','EndDate']; // Columns that you want to use
Hover your mouse over the events on your calendar and you should see the display box (it will take a few seconds).
