Right, the Success Maker saga continues (my LM managed to find a copy of the missing floppy *shakes fist*).
Our next hurdle, is complete lack of serial number. We had one, don't anymore because its printed on the original floppy! RM wont/cant help us. So, any suggestions?
Anyone have a serial for v5.1.1 that you're about to bin!?

27th September 2010, 12:33 PM #4 The serial isn't in the server or client install, it's in the SME database.
IIRC it also (somehow) ties the database to the server too.
To change servers that housed the SME server install / database I had to compress the database and send it to RM.
I think you could well be out of options, I could be wrong because the server change was a few years ago now and that information came from my long term storage...

I know you are a youngster, but there does come a time when you just have to stop wasting time - it probably wont work on Win 7 or Server 2008 or whatever anyway!
