Sincronize Active Directory Accounts
Hi, i have 2 active directorys in 2 buildings.
There are the same school, so pupils some time have class in one build or in the other.
So, i have AD: abc.local and esp.local
I have accounts in abc.local, and i like any script or any that everynight sincronize the accounts in abc.local with the esp.local
sincronize passwords, and creat new accounts etc.
any way to do this automaticaly?
thanks

16th August 2010, 11:37 AM #2 Why not create a domain trust, and have the accounts from one network be usable on the other?

I'm guessing the OP has a rubbish connection between the two sites. I'm sure that there are ways of using something like Branch Cache or simply replicating to a remote DC. Somebody wiser than me will need to advise on this though!

surely you'd still need the domain trusts -for computers on each site to see both domains?

Afaik, if you do it with the ad sites properly, you can do it as a single domain.

16th August 2010, 01:18 PM #8 I would personally have one domain and use the AD Sites and Services. You can then set the replication frequency between the 2 DCs to take account of the slow link between the two sites.

This will tell you how to create the site: Create a site: Active Directory and from there you can see the TechNet site map which will tell you how to configure synchronisation, etc.
