This is an odd one!

We have students who are working on programming assignments [in a virtual environment, not the live network] When they have finished the work in the virtual environment they save it and drag it out of the virtual machine window into their My Work on the network.

All good so far.

However over the last few weeks the ICT teacher has noticed that when they run Visio it tries to open and run all of the executables they have saved on the network. I have checked that it is associated with the contents of their home folder by re-directing the home folder for an affected student to another location and Visio then runs without issue.

Students who are not in this programming group are not affected.

So my question is what is Visio doing when the shortcut is double clicked? [why is it not just opening a blank document as we would expect it to?]
