Is it possible to boot a remote PC to the network? I know how to do it if I'm at the PC but not remotely. I'm trying to test an image but I need the PC to boot to a network location and don't know how to![]()

Do you mean how can you press F12 to PXE boot but do it remotely?
If so, one way to do it would be to change the BIOS settings so that network boot is the first option. If you have Dell or HP computers then you can change the BIOS settings remotely so you would just run the program (remote desktop, psexec, whatever) so that it will boot from the network.
Thanks Steve, that's exactly what I want to do - but I don't have Dell or HP workstations. Can I still change the bios settings or is that exclusive to those two makes? Of course I could go round all the machines tomorrow and change the boot sequence by hand but wanted to test the image first.
