    Continuous Data Replication

    Hi!

Looking for advice on your methods for the above. Any reliable Freeware available?

I'd like to mirror in realtime my users Documents folders (on a W2003 Server) to a NAS drive. One way only, so anything deleted from the W2003 Server is left on the mirrored NAS device so it can be copied back if requested.

This is to negotiate my way around a 210GB daily backup.

    Thanks in advance.

If you are running Windows Server 2003 R2 it might be possible to use DFS and setup a one-way DFS Share on the NAS.

Robocopy will do this for you for free, i believe (but might be mistaken) that its incorperated into 2003

pop into a command line prompt and type in robocopy /? <- that will give you all the settings you should need

easy to setup and use, quite resourcefull ^_^
