ANy chance spuffmonkey could PM me the information, have removed soldered battery but to no avail

As the password is stored in an eeprom chip removing the battery won't help as you've found out.

Exactly what a waste of my time, the last one I did was the L300, and it worked with the removal of the battery for 3 days go figure, and that one had a standard battery so did not have to de-solder then re-solder it
Ben you have any further info on to how to get around this

Ive tried everything suggested.... Ive taken the laptop apart completely and removed all kinds of things as suggested butnot luck at all.

Please see below the bios password removal method for the Satellite Pro A300 (PSJ1E) series.
Satellite Pro A300 (PSAJ1E-)
Remove battery and disconnect the AC-adapter then short pad G1 for a minimum of 30 seconds with a flat-blade screwdriver, the pad is located under the memory module.
This can be accessed from the base of the notebook
