Our LA has just changed insurance provider. The new insurer specifies that any IT (in one building) over the value of £200k should be in rooms with bars on windows etc. I'm trying to find the exact requirements they need but in the mean time the HT has tasked me with finding a new insurer "just in case"
Any recomendations ?
Si

You have more than £200k in a single building? I don't think my entire estate is worth that much!

Only at ground level are they required and if you have a good alarm system fitted with break glass facilities then this will suffice rather than locking the room up with bars and/or metal shutters.
I think it also depends where in the country your school is situated as with Car insurance post codes enter into the scenario.
