    Rip audio from BBC's I-Player

    Hi all,

Anyone know how to do this in the easiest way? I just want to grab audio from a bbc radio show, but every method I've tried so far has fallen flat on it's face.

Best way is to, download Audacity, and record the Stereo mix. Export as a MP3

    Job done.

    Thanks for the replys people

There isn't a podcast as far as I can see for what I'm looking to copy

Get_iPlayer is non windows, so not an option for me

I've tried Audacity but don't seem to have an option to change to wave or stereo mix. My only options are microphone or Line in.

I also believe that get_iplayer is no longer available author removed it after they implemented the last round of security on the iplayer system

Then you probably need to check your preferences: Edit->Preferences and have a look at the "Audio I/O" tab.

if you are using realtek audio the likes used in lenovo r61s then the wave out mix is not an option in audacity it has been removed at driver level

other brands like the ones used in older dells etc do not suffer from this problem

    hope this helps

only thing you can do is put a cable from the pc audio out into the mic in and selct microphone on the drop down list in audacity not the best quality but it is a work around for the realtek problem

Get-iplayer works on windows fine - if you need to use a proxy server then the linux version is needed. It is against t&cs tho and also not all media is available for some reason.

All it does it pretend to be an iphone so uses a hole in the security.
