oh cool, is it possible to use sso with just those?
Yes. But personally I wouldn't bother with all the SSO stuff. We found that people quickly got used to entering their live id's from home or inside the network.
Windows 8 will also include a log on with your windows id soon so there is the potential of having just one cloud login for everything.

Yeh, I use it as well but I think the old licensing you had to pay to let staff use it?
Also sharepoint is going free for education as well soon which will be nice.

Mr.Ben I set mine up in the days before FIM, I use ILM 2007, but Im not sure how i would get them to link ?

Im trying to run this @jamesbmarshall but getting an error:

Just to update this in case anyone was following my latest issue. I had to use the Microsoft support to resolve this issue as I was unable to import the liveID's manually. They added them to our system, but they appeared as a MailBox, so i was able to run the Remove-Mailbox cmdlet to purge the liveID from the system. And then when I next ran ILM with the -FirstRun option it provisioned the missing accounts as a mail user as normal. (exept one, which required more intervention from support but Im not sure what he did to fix that one)
Cudos to the Micoroft Live@Edu support tho, it has improved 500% since I first started using it and the support folk didnt even know what ILM was. Ive now had 2 support cases resolved in a matter of days from opening the ticket (including time zone differences).
Looking forward to Office 365

I had an issue with live id's allready existing and I had to log in to each one manually to then remove and associate them with another one.
Live@edu support couldn't do anything their end apparently.

Hi
Trying to sort out issues with our ILM Live@EDU setup getting error Your mailbox is unavailable when trying to access accounts via Live@EDU Administration Console.
This has only happened recently as all accounts created previously worked correctly without issues.
Hoping you could shed some light on this issue.
Regards,
Matt

So when you login to eduadmin.live.com and click on users and groups it doesnt take you into the admin console?
Or is it only when you are trying to access the actual mailbox of the admin account?
The issue is in relation to newly created users which have been created via the Powershell startsync.ps1 script in the ILM server and when I try to access these users via the Open other mailbox feature Your mailbox appears to be unavailable. Try to access it again in 10 seconds. If you see this error again, contact your helpdesk.
