I'm just finalising some training I'm giving next week to promote use of IT in class and wanted to get your opinions on what else should be included. So far, the running order is:
• Cordless mice, incl. gyro mice
• Cordless keyboards, incl. integral touch-pads
• Tablets (wired and wireless)
• Word
- highlight tool
- using Comment to annotate text and mark assignments
• PowerPoint
- revision tests (incl. voting systems)
- labelling diagrams
- annotating text
- drawing mind maps
• Smart Notebook
- sorting, pairing and gap-filling
- labelling diagrams
- annotating text
- drawing mind maps
- revision tests
- Blockbusters
• Recording with Audacity
- revision notes
- presentations (could also be video recorded)
- speaking exercises in Languages and Theatre Studies
- incorporating sound recordings in PowerPoint, videos or PhotoStory slideshows
What am I missing?

Have Fun.

9th June 2010, 07:22 AM #4 Sounds like some cool topics to start off.
Something for the future :
* How to create digital learning material that can be used into and by class.
* create policies (management) on how to act on/handle/create digital learning material.
these 2 topics are hot in our school at the moment.

9th June 2010, 04:37 PM #5 It did include how to resize images, though, but I used the Image Resizer PowerToy, as that is just a right-click and can batch-process files.
By the way, this is an old thread - the training session was a few months ago, but hopefully this thread will help someone else...
