I hate it when someone actually implements one of my ideas before I get to do it!

Of course - what I want is the other way around as well - auto unlock when you come back!

    regards

    Simon

PS My actual idea is to have RFID chip under the skin (or glued to fingernails anyway!) and that would control access to things

Probably simpler to just use the fingerprint reader!

Would you want to use a fingerprint device after your technician had used it ?

This is from about 2004 http://www.torkjel.com/projects/atta...nt_sensors.pdf plus searching "attacking fingerprint {sensors/scanners}" in google will get more upto date on the subject matter.

Ingenious but I can't see the point. Presumably this is aimed at improving security? I think it does the opposite. Using this would be like saying 'I care so little about security that I can't even be bothered to take 1 second to press Win+L'.

Users need to understand that security is their responsibility. It is part of their job to logout or lock the screen when they walk away from the keyboard. If you put in a system like this and it fails for some reason, who is responsible?

Perhaps I've missed the point though ??

Come on, hand over the geek card.....

It's the same reason I want the iphone controlled helicopter being exhibited at CES: Parrot AR.Drone - Quadrotor helicopter with wifi and 2 cameras - AR.Drone games for iPhone and iPod touch

    Because it's geeky
