Probably a simple question to answer, but I tried, I failed, and I'm learning!
What's the best way to archive emails sent to the journaling email address? I was hoping to do this month by month but then on doing so I discovered that you cannot move this archive file or Outlook throws a wobbly.
How can I archive 'November' emails and then remove them from Outlook, but restore if necessary?
I'm using 2007.

Create a new PST folder within Outlook, move the files for that month into it and then close the PST file within Outlook and create one for the next month and repeat?
Wouldn't be automatic though which I'd guess ideally you'd want, not sure if you could adapt it to make it automatic.

How?
GP restrictions prevent me from accessing 'Data Management' in 2007 so I'm not sure a seperate .PST is possible.

7th December 2009, 10:57 PM #7 Is there a way I can archive just a folder, and remove it completely, without Outlook complaining if I move the archive file?

8th December 2009, 12:27 AM #9 I'm sure I did that and it complained.
Right click on a folder > Archive > Choose the folder > Archive done > Move archive folder > Delete folder from Outlook
?

I think it would probably be
Right click on a folder > Archive > Choose the folder > Archive done > Right Click Archive Folder > Close "archive folder name" > Move Archive Folder.
