    Desktop Shortcuts and icons

    I have a on my desktop a shortcut to Edugeek (sad I know) how do I get it to display the Edugeek icon instead of a Firefox one?

    right click then change icon. You can get a copy of the edugeek icon here: http://www.edugeek.net/favicon.ico

    Thanks - knew about the right click/change icon, didn't know where to obtain said icon. Done now much better.

    It might be handy to know you can see all page images and icons and the url to them in FireFox.

    Go to Tools > Page info > Media Tab

    If you are feeling creative, have some free time and want a better quality (higher res) icon, you can grab the logo from the top (http://www.edugeek.net/images/edugeek/logo_eg.png) and crop out the logo, resize it to 32x32 for xp or 256x256 for vista/7 save as a .bmp then change the extention to .ico.

    I was so happy when i worked out that .ico is the same as .bmp just with a different extention... I went arround making new icons for everything
